A weekend getaway

  • Weekend getaways are a great way to celebrate each other, especially when they’re a surprise. Valentine’s Day is on a Tuesday this year which means you can surprise your partner the night of and be out of town by Wednesday or Thursday. Check AirBnB for last minute specials within a 100-mile driving radius from your town and then get packing!

Dinner for two in your own kitchen

  • If you’re looking for a cozier option this year, try cooking at home. Plan to cook a new recipe together or surprise your love with their favorite homemade dish. If you loathe to cook, order in from one of your favorite restaurants and pick up dessert too. Don’t forget the wine!

Get a little boozy

  • Touring local breweries, distilleries, and vineyards can be fun and educational! You'll learn about the distilling process and discover interesting pairings. If you don't have any breweries or vineyards nearby, check out these beer and wine pairing guides for an at-home tasting night.

Movie night

  • Nothing says classic date night like dinner and a movie. Hit up your favorite dinner spot in town and then head to the theater for a new release like 50 Shades Darker.

  • Looking for something to make your sweetie swoon? Recreate your first date. You'll have them falling in love for you all over again.
